Olive Court—Long Beach
Olive Court, which consists of 58 new for-sale condominium homes in Central Long Beach, is currently under construction. The development
is located on a 1.5 acre parcel on Long Beach Boulevard, just one
block north of the Metro Blue Line light rail station at Pacific Coast
Highway . This will give residents convenient access to downtown Long Beach
and Los Angeles via transit.
Olive Court will offer a range of home types -- with a mix of townhomes
and flats between 800 and 1,500 square feet in one, two, three and
four bedroom configurations. Many of the homes will be made affordable
to low- and moderate-income families earning between 80-120 percent
of the area median income.
Studio E Architects,
an award winning architectural firm based in San Diego, is the design
architect for Olive Court. The layout for Olive Court places homes
in the interior of the development to be arranged around three
landscaped courtyards. Homes along Long Beach Boulevard will be arranged
in a three and four story building with smaller gated courtyards
feeding onto the sidewalk, providing a more urban living style.
The homes will also feature energy-efficient design and appliances
to reduce utility costs, and be built using environmentally friendly
materials and practices. Construction is nearl complete, with the homes ready for occupancy in Spring 2007.
